Hello everyone,
I am Priti Naiga, a mother to a 3 yr old boy ‘Kian’ & married to a lovely man Ketan. I was born and brought up in Mumbai, whereas my ancestors root from Mangalore, Karnataka. I currently live in Melbourne, Australia with my son and hubby.
I have learnt most of my cooking only after marriage. My moms daal recipe & sanjeev kapoors show did help me at the initial days of my marriage. I have learned a lot from my MIL who is a great cook too. I used to note down her recipes in my cook book & try them often until i got a thumbs up from my hubby for each of her recipes ;). I have made a book which is filled with all her lovely recipes espcl Mangalorian Cuisine. I have often made several disasters at start but with my hubby’s support & encouragement i never gave up.
After couple of years of our marriage we moved to Melbourne and there i was introduced to the world of international cuisine. And, here my journey of exploring new culture, food and to learn & try new cuisines began. My food blog – ‘My Pinch Of Yum’, is my attempt to share my passion towards food n cooking. Most of my recipes are learned and inspired from my mil, mom, family and the great web world. As a newbie to blogging, i am still trying to figure out the technicalities of running a blog and learning to take an above avg pictures. Btw, i am using my Samsung Note 3 and my iPad at times to click all the pics for my blog.
Comments and feedback’s are very precious to me. I will be glad to help you, if you have any doubts regarding the recipes here. Also, do let me know if i deserve some appreciation. Feel free to reach out at mypinchofyum@gmail.com.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Cheers!!
Priti

Fun to find your beautiful blog! You’ve made a BIG move– hope all is going well. Your family moved from California to Spain for 12 years when our kids were small and it was such an interesting time for us– hard a some points, but we learned so much and made lifelong friends. Blessings to you and your family.

Priti– wise words. Read through your saffron fudge recipe. We used saffron the years we lived in Spain, but never in sweets! Would love to try this! xo

In Indian cooking, we use saffron in both sweets as well as savoury such as kebabs, biryanis, snacks. I would love to hear from you if you try this Saffron Fudge recipe. 🙂
